Abstractions
“There is always a yellow tree in the garden that brings you joy and peace”
Mixed media artist seeking to convey the peace and joy of nature through abstraction. Over the years, color has fused my work. It is my signature and the strength of my expression. Paintings, collage-paintings and assemblage rely on the use of colors, movement, mark making, collage and objects to create an engaging composition and tensions within the surface, while still paying attention to the energy of the negative space. All the pieces used in the collage-paintings and assemblage are from my own previous works that find a new life after being repurposed and upcycled. I work mainly by series to explore a theme in depth before moving on to a new subject.
